Jamie D. Grant

As recently seen on the cover of GENII MAGAZINE!

If you're on this page, you're probably either a magician; or someone looking for one. Whatever the case; welcome! And thank you! I know how valuable everyone's time is these days, so I'll get right to it!

My name is Jamie D. Grant and I'm, among other things (*), a professional magician here in Vancouver, Canada. What exactly does a professional magician do? Well, I perform at VIP parties, Corporate functions, Weddings, Holiday parties, Speaking Engagements, and any number of occasions where you're looking for someone to make the party, well, a party! We've all been somewhere where there was that one person that just changed a party for the better. Maybe they livened up the room or helped everyone have an amazing night. Or perhaps they were, literally, the life of the party.

That's what I do.

And I use magic to do it. But what does that actually look like? I've done thousands of gigs, so I can answer this for you really easily. I have two kinds of shows:

And Stage.

If you're having a cocktail party type of party where everyone is standing around and having drinks, then Walkaround is where I'll go from group to group, showing magic, building atmosphere, creating laughter, and giving everyone something awesome to talk about. Stage is more of an "after dinner" type of environment or even in a home, where everyone is seated and facing one direction- the stage. From there I can do between 30min-a full hour of magic and laughter that you're guests will never forget.

Okay, let's answer some easy questions!

1) Am I expensive? Okay that one's not so easy. Probably more than you think but not as much as you imagine. Email me (at SendWonder@gmail.com ) and I can fill you in!

2) Do I know a lots of famous people? I get asked this a lot! I sure do! I work a lot of VIP Parties and Celebrity functions. If you're famous, I'm sure we have mutual friends!

3) Am I busy? Very. But I'd still love to hear from you!

4) Do I work kid's parties? No, I'm afraid not. But I know a few excellent performers who do.

5) Do I have some sort of "official" press release sounding description? Who doesn't? Fun!

Jamie has performed for celebrities, charities, and companies such as Disney, the University of British Columbia (where he also taught MAGIC 101), and Cirque du Soleil. His book, "The Approach - a complete guide to becoming a professional magician" was released to worldwide acclaim and has become the go-to guide for aspiring magicians around the globe. Along with having performed in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, Jamie has also spoken at the prestigious Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and is constantly booked for his ability to bring joy, laughter, and wonder to any event or celebration. He is currently one of the most sought after entertainers and speakers in the world.

When Jamie's not performing, he puts sealed decks of cards into bottles (the reason why he's featured in Ripley's Believe It or Not!) and leaves them on the street for people to find, and be inspired, as part of his "Send Wonder campaign". Follow him on Facebook or Twitter for all the latest info and updates.
